Multi-dimensional artist Merryn Jeann has returned with the second single from her upcoming debut album. ‘ME B4 U’ was born out of the complexities of navigating romance, ending up as a tender exploration of self-discovery. Musically, it's a playful piece of alt-pop, propelled by a sense of creativity and uniqueness that teleports listeners to her own sonic world, which is full of intricate beats and unpredictability. The video, co-directed by herself and her niece, fellow TMR tip Eden Rain, brings the track to life visually. She says: “It’s a song about understanding that one must surrender themself to one’s life before the ability of truly bringing someone in and feeling good around them too. I guess you can still really love someone even if you're a bit rocky with yourself, as long as there’s self-reflection and the willingness to get to know yourself alongside them/the relationship.” Her album, DOG BEACH, drops on February 23rd 2024, via her co-founded label Rescue + Return Records. -Dan Peeke
